Legal Experience
Mr. Pigott concentrates on various ERISA and employment litigation matters, including ERISA fringe benefit contribution collection actions, MPPAA withdrawal liability collection actions, employment discrimination actions, and employee-discipline arbitration actions. Mr. Pigott, further, assists in drafting employee benefit plan documents, such as summary plan descriptions, and making coverage and eligibility determinations under clients’ health and pension plans.
Prior to joining Arnold & Kadjan, Mr. Pigott served as a judicial clerk to Justice Thomas Kilbride of the Illinois Supreme Court, and to Justice Joseph Gordon of the Illinois Appellate Court, and was a staff attorney for the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission. During his tenure in the Illinois courts, Mr. Pigott assisted in the disposition of cutting-edge multi-million-dollar personal injury decisions, insurance coverage decisions, criminal and post-conviction decisions, and employment decisions.

Mr. Pigott graduated with high honors, in the top ten-percent of his class, from the IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2002, and its faculty elected him to the Order of the Coif.
Personal Data
When not assisting working men and women, Mr. Pigott plays tuba in such ensembles as the Barristers Big Band and the Chicago Bar Association Symphony, plays lacrosse, and volunteers for First Defense Legal Aid.
